THE HARDEST WORKING CAT IN SHOWBIZ

A collaboration between filmmaker Bohdanowicz, film critic Dan Sallitt, and his cat Jasper. The three share an interest in the mysterious Orangey, a cat who starred in many Hollywood films over 16 years – including the terrifying beast in The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957) and the no-name slob in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961). In the meantime, Jasper walks indifferently around the apartment. Did Orangey really play that big of a part in film history? Based on Sallitt’s essay, The Hardest Working Cat in Showbiz, Bohdanowicz captures a man’s relationship with his feline roommate while examining the possible image of this Hollywood hard laborer, Orangey, and the work of Frank Inn, an outstanding animal trainer, both once legendary, now forgotten.
